Let’s try this again…

Okay, I have another radio interview today, and I think you’ll be able to hear it.1380espn It’ll be on ESPN Radio (1380AM) in St. Louis at 4:20pm.
(That’s 5:20pm here on the East Coast.)
If you’re not in (or near) St. Louis, here’s what you can do:

1. Go to 1380espn.com.
2. Click the red tab on the upper right that says “Listen to 1380 ESPN Live.”
3. Fill out the little registration form.
4. Turn off your pop-up blockers.

Let me know if you hear it.

In other news, I will not be going to the Yankee game tonight. I thought I was gonna make it, but I got called into work for an extra shift. That’s fine. Yankee Stadium stresses me out, and I’m glad whenever I have an excuse to avoid it. I have a great excuse this weekend: all three games against the Mets are sold out AND I’ll be working during two of them. On Monday, the Mets are off and the Yanks are out of town, so I have to wait until Tuesday to catch my next ball.

Tuesday feels really far away right now.

Thanks for the link. I hope it enabled millions of people to hear the interview.

I appreciate it. Thanks for listening. My only complaint about the interview was that it was too short. I wish I had more time to REALLY get into the finer points and funny stories. Oh, and also, I noticed myself saying “you know” too often. (I’m a perfectionist; I have to moan about something.)

Yea, it could’ve/should’ve been longer.

How did this one compare with the two from Monday though?

You know something funny…the best interview of the week (three in total) was the one when the station called me unexpectedly at 6:15am after I’d gone to bed 75 minutes earlier. Funny how that works. The interview that you heard yesterday on 1380AM was okay. I feel like I talked too long when they asked me how I got into ball-collecting, thus leaving myself with less time to talk about everything else. The questions were ordinary. When I mentioned that I make requests for balls in other languages, I was hoping that the hosts would ask me how I do it, but they didn’t. Like I said in my earlier comment, I was saying “you know” a bit much, which is dumb of me to do because I always make fun of other people who do it. I was disappointed that I didn’t get a chance to talk about MLBlogs. I have to be militant about getting that plug in there because the time goes by so quickly. So yeah, overall not great and not bad, but it could’ve been much better. I hope you get to hear other interviews so you can see what I mean. Someday, if/when you come over, I’ll show you a few of the bigger/better TV interviews from back in the day. The one that FOX did for “In the Zone” is my favorite. That was just a fun, fun day. You’ll see what I mean.
