Massive photo project
Two days ago, I found a shoebox full of photos from my trips to different Major League stadiums…
…and I’ve been scanning them obsessively ever since. Soon, I’ll be adding a bunch to my web site.
Tomorrow, if the weather holds up, I’ll finally be back at Shea with a specific goal: getting a ball during the game…and NOT one of those cheapies that the first basemen lob over the dugouts every half-inning. I’m talking about a legitimate foul ball. I’ve gotten one at each of my last three games. I’ve done that just three times in my life, and my all-time record is four.

Hey Zack, pretty good post can’t wait to see the pics or w.e. Going to the Rogers Centre tomorrow against the Devil Rays any last pointers/tips. Thanks hopefully i’ll be a ball hawker. Got my first 2 balls last game gonna try to keep that streak alive.

Can’t wait to see the pics. I’m heading out to Chicago this weekend to see Wrigley, and I’m wondering what tips you have. Last year, security wouldn’t let people near the dugouts, not even during BP. If anyone knows what the security policy is this year, please let me know.

Wrigley is as tough as it is gorgeous. First of all, it’s always packed, and secondly, there aren’t any spots where you can go during BP to get an advantage. On the other hand, you have a chance to get a ball (or three) BEFORE the gates open. Just hang out on Waveland…but watch out for (and respect) the Ballhawks. I don’t remember anything about security. It’s been eight years since I was there.

Ha. Yeah, it sure looks like one, huh? It’s just a bigfancy vacuum cleaner. The grounds crew used it to pick up all the dirt off the AstroTurf.
