Fire escape
Had another interview today, this time with Morry Alter of the local CBS news. The highlight was my attempt to perform the glove trick from a third-floor fire escape.
Morry is the guy wearing the tie, and in this shot, he’s about to place the ball on the ground. Don, the camera man, is standing 10 feet behind him, ready to capture the action.
If you live in/near NYC, you can find out how it went by tuning in to the Sunday Morning News at 7:50am. (Yikes.) That’s THIS coming Sunday, October 8th. It’s possible that the Katie Couric segment will air a few days later, but this hasn’t been confirmed.
Anyway, Game 2 of the Mets-Dodgers NLDS is about to start (time to microwave the chicken cacciatore), and I’m totally fine with watching from home. That won’t be the case if the Mets reach the World Series…

I think the Mets are going to POUND Maddux, and from what I hear, he’s not exactly the friendliest guy. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for letting me know about the ticket offer at buccoblog. At this point, though, I think I’m just gonna watch all the NLCS action on TV and then try like CRAZY to get to the World Series. As for the pick-up line, there was one case when…uh…I didn’t have to use it.

Yeah, it’s CBS. It’s possible that you might be able to get the the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric, but unless you have a satellite dish as big as Bruce Bochy’s head, I seriously doubt you’ll be able to get the local news from New York.

I only had four. The only way I’m going to a playoff game is if the Mets reach the World Series, but even then, there’s no guarantee. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to find/afford a ticket.
